It has been a while since our last post! Things have been soooo busy around here lately! We are installing window film all over Toronto and Mississauga.
Right now the big demand is for solar film. Though the weather in Ontario has not been all that hot this spring, people notice those hot spots by the windows in their homes and offices really heat up, even though the temperature outside is quite comfortable. Nobody wants to have to fire up the air conditioner when it is only 20 degrees outside!
That is where solar control window films come into play. By blocking out solar heat, window films keep interiors cooler, without having to close curtains and blinds.
One of our most popular lines of film right now are the infrared blocking films. They go on clear and virtually unnoticable, allowing you to see out they still permit a great deal of light, but block the heat part of the light spectrum--they are pretty awesome! We still carry tinted films of course, and a lot of commercial clients like the reflective window films, they are highly effective and look pretty cool on the windows.
Last year we installed bronze film on a school in York Region. As with most elementary schools, they had no air conditioning anywhere in the building. That place was like a stone oven. With the aid of solar control window film and fans for each room, our films were able to make the environment much more tolerable and conducive to learning.
